Jerry Hughes has been a member of the Orland Park Police Department for over 25 years and has served in all divisions of the Department as an officer, investigator and supervisor. Deputy Chief Hughes was the first DARE Officer for the Village of Orland Park and served on the Department's Special Response Team for over 20 years, five years as Team Leader and is currently the Team Commander.

Deputy Chief Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Lewis University and a Master of Science Degree from DePaul University. Deputy Chief Hughes is also a graduate of the 205 th Session of the FBI National Academy. He is married and has two children.
